Support the Nantahala Racing Club for only $50 a year with an individual membership, or $100 a year for the whole family. As a member of the NRC, you provide vital support to  our programming and athletes. You'll also enjoy benefits like:

• Access to coaching. We offer regular weekly sessions throughout most of the year, plus weekend mini camps , clinics, and coaching during races. 
• Access to training sites. We maintain a 20+ gate canoe slalom course on the Nantahala River open for year-round training.  New for 2023 is a kayak cross boat launch available exclusively to NRC members. 
• Access to equipment. Members can use NRC boats, paddles, spray skirts, and other gear while paddling on the Nantahala River. Access depends on availability.
• Outfitter store discounts. Current NRC members enjoy a 10% discount in the Nantahala Outdoor Center and Endless River Adventure outfitters stores on the Nantahala River.

All of our programs are run by a crew of incredible volunteers, and we need your help! Your involvement keeps our community strong and supports the development of whitewater sport in the U.S. We always need volunteers to help with:

• Races and events. Help us put on canoe slalom, kayak cross, and wildwater competitions on the Nantahala River. Positions include start/finish, judges, scoring, boat control, and registration. No special skills are required.
• Training site maintenance. Help build courses for daily training and racing. This involves hanging gate wires, assembling gates, and moving rocks. We also need help keeping the box trailer organized. No special skills are required. 
• Coaching and outreach. Help coach youth and adult programs for canoe slalom, kayak cross, and wildwater athletes. This includes weekend mini camps, clinics, and special events. Coaches must adhere to the NRC's Coaches Code of Conduct and be SafeSport certified.
