Camps, Clinics & Races for All Paddlers

NRC is dedicated to promoting youth and adult participation in paddlesports. Our goal is to get kids and adults hooked on paddling as a healthy, challenging, outdoor activity that they can enjoy for their entire lives.

NRC’s Young Rhinos Whitewater Discovery project encourages youth in underserved communities to reconnect with the outdoors through engagement in whitewater recreation.

This biannual, six-week program is designed to get kids active and engaged in the outdoors through introduction to paddlesports.

Spring Session: April 17 – May 22, 2017
Fall Session: September 11 – October 16, 2017

NRC provides a supportive community of fellow paddlers to join you on your next whitewater kayak adventure.

Dates: May 1 – August 28


Whitewater Families & Friends Rendezvous on the Nantahala for this
fun, family-oriented two-day whitewater clinic suitable for beginner through advanced paddlers.

Dates: May 27 – 28, 2017

Take your paddling to the next level with our top coaches at these after-school training sessions in freestyle, slalom and wildwater.

Dates: May  – November 2017 on Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 3:30 pm unless otherwise posted

regional_teams_menuUSA Canoe/Kayak Regional Teams Initiative

Qualify to be on the South-Atlantic Youth Slalom Team, train with National Team coaches, and earn a stipend towards travel and racing expenses.
