NRC will host the first Slalom Mini-Camp of the year on May 10 – 11. Join US Team Member Dana Mann on the Nantahala for a fun weekend of whitewater, gates and flatwater games. This camp is suitable for beginner through intermediate paddlers who are comfortable with rolls or wet-exits in moving water.
Participants will meet at the Finger Lake at 10 am on Saturday morning for stroke drills, roll practice, and group games on flat water before progressing to the Nantahala Bridge Gates for the afternoon session. All participants must be NRC members. Camp cost is $10 for high-performance members and $20 for at-large members, and participants are encouraged to make a tax-deductible donation to NRC on behalf of Dana Mann as she prepares to represent the United States at the 2014 Slalom World Championships in Maryland.
