Event Details

Join NOC as they celebrate the 2016 Summer Olympics to be hosted in Rio de Janero, Brazil. Olympians of the past, present, and future will join in the fun as we host slalom and downriver races.

Activities

– Meet an Olympian- NOC will have Olympians from various disciplines here to talk about their experiences, as well as signing and taking pictures.

– Raft Sprint– Jump in with an Olympian as your captain! One of our Olympic visitors will lead the team as you race through Nantahala Falls.

– Slalom Race– We celebrate the only whitewater discipline in the olympics by holding a beginner friendly open slalom race. Everyone is welcome!

– Southeastern’s Downriver Championship– Sunday we will host the oldest whitewater race in the Southeast. Racers of all ages and boat types will race from the put-in at Wayah Road to the Founders Bridge at the NOC.
